LifePro DH24: The Best Dehumidifier for Your Home?

After using the LifePro DH24 dehumidifier for slightly more than three months (see my searching process and first thoughts of the LifePro DH24), I think I am ready to give you the real-world usage review of my experience. Here’s a quick recap: I want to invest in a dehumidifier to prevent molds and moisture from damaging my belongings. Therefore, I chose the LifePro DH24 because it met all my requirements and is a Singaporean company.

LifePro DH24 dehumidifier

A disclaimer here: I am not paid by anyone or any organisation to do this review. In fact, I bought the LifePro DH24 dehumidifier with my own money and did the review at my own will. So whatever I said in this review is based on my own experience.

LifePro DH24’s 5-litre water tank

The 5-litre water tank dehumidifier is actually well built and claims to use a Panasonic compressor. The dehumidifier comes with a 2 years Singapore warranty by LIFEPRO PTE LTD at the time of this review. So far, it worked as expected without fail or problems. Until now, I feel that the LifePro DH24 is a hidden gem that does not cost an arm or a leg. I will not be covering or repeat the technical specification of the dehumidifier in this review. Instead, here’s the link if you want to check out the technical details.

LifePro DH24’s instruction manual and external drain pipe

For my usage, in an 800+ square foot apartment, if I leave the dehumidifier on an entire day, my 5-litre water tank will be filled up in around 8 hours. Thus, claimed 24-litres per day is true to its word. I would suggest using the external drain pipe set up if you intend to use it for the whole day. The truth is I only used it the entire day twice so far. Most days, I find that I use the mobile application to switch it on and off for two intervals of 2 hours would be sufficient for my needs.

LifePro DH24’s filters

The filters of the dehumidifier can be removed easily from the back. Although the external filter can be washed and should last the dehumidifier’s lifetime, the internal filters cannot be clean. Furthermore, I was not able to find where to purchase the replacement of the internal filters.

The display is clear and easy to read, and the buttons on the dehumidifier are all touch-sensitive buttons. All most all the features of the dehumidifier can be accessed through the onboard controls. Only scheduling the dehumidifier’s operation requires the mobile application to set the schedule.

The mobile application is decently good comparing to other SMART home appliances I have used. At the time of this review, you can schedule the dehumidifier to switch on at a particular time of the day (up to a week). Use the mobile application as a remote control.

Would I recommend the LifePro DH24 dehumidifier for a home? Yes! For what it is cost, and for what you are getting, I would say you should go ahead and buy it. You cannot go far wrong with it. I cannot speak for the consistency between devices because I own had one so far. But my piece works well so far.

      Hi DIDI,

Thanks for the comments. I hope you will still find this helpful.

I realised they have started selling the dehumidifier with spare filters now. I would suggest you to get them together. Since I posted this article, it seems like sellers (LifePro.sg) are selling both Nylon and Compound filters online.
